FIDF: 'We Did Not Engage' With Helping IDF Soldiers With Most Essential Needs
Internal memo shows that the organization didn't help soldiers with their most essential needs
The following is an internal email from FIDF National Chairman Morey Levovitz in which he definitively confirms that FIDF failed to provide the most essential equipment to the IDF soldiers.

Dear Board members,
A subject that has been discussed and continuously resurfacing, since the very beginning of our emergency campaign has been the many requests that have been made of us to join in supplying military supplies to the IDF. We did not to engage in such activity for many reasons which were led by the fact that it would be in direct conflict with our organization’s charter. Additionally in our many confidential discussions with the high command of the IDF they could not have been more direct that the IDF is not asking for, nor do they want such assistance.
I am including a newly released announcement from the IDF which states that soldiers using donated gear will be subject to disciplinary action. It has never been our place to speak for the IDF in this area, but they have been steadfastly clear on where they stood on this topic. I hope this will confirm for you that, as compelling as the requests may be, being involved in sending military gear to IDF soldiers or units is inappropriate. Click HERE to read.
Yesterday you received FIDF’s Societies Exclusive update about our Legacy Program. This program continues to be one of our most meaningful initiatives. If you haven’t already read it, please take a minute to do so. It is a lifechanging program that provides transformational results for the children, their families and everyone involved.Â
Save the date: The next National Board meeting will be taking place in person in NY on Wednesday September 18th @11am. (Location TBD)
Shabbat Shalom
MoreyÂ
